Thanks to the Summer KBU Overseas Employment Assistance Program, I am clearly aware of my vulnerabilities and strengths. A foreign friend who I made in Singapore told to me. "You're good at English, but why are you in the intermediate class?" Isn't it too easy?" But I didn't feel that English was easy to learn in class. However, when I actually talked to a local Singaporean, it was fun. It wasn't hard!

Through the corresponding language training, I realized that my weaknesses in English are grammar and words, and my strength is speaking. Applying the grammar I learned from Peter teacher, I could clearly see the confusing grammar, and through this, I thought it was the same for cooking, recipes, or English.

There was a reluctance to Korean grammar, but I came across it with Singaporean English and had an attitude to open my mind and accept grammar. It was a huge change for me.

Singapore is a country where people from various countries live and live together. The coexistence of various cultures has come very new to me because Korea occupies most of the Korean people. There were Chinese-Singaporeans, Indian-Singaporeans, Malaysians, and even foreigners who traveled to Singapore. I came to a country called Singapore, and it was impressive that I could experience the culture of Chinatown and Little India in this small place.

In particular, communication in this process came to be interesting. Singapore uses English as its main language, but its pronunciation is slightly different from American English, so it is called 'Singlish'. For example, 22 is pronounced "Tuwenty-two," but they say "Tu-n-Ti-Tu." At first, I didn't understand what you were saying. But in that case, it doesn't end with "I can't understand," it says, "Excuse me. Can you repeat that?I listened to the other person's mouth and words with a request. Of course, there were cases where I did not understand even if I did this. However, because they are literally multi-ethnic, they solved the problem by getting help from people around them (intermediate interpretation). It was thrilling. Moreover, I became friends through this opportunity. I think we would have talked freely in English for 5 to 10 minutes and left a pleasant memory for each other. I was able to learn not only the linguistic aspect but also the attitude toward locals and foreigners.

Most Singaporeans were courteous. Thanks to him, I felt grateful from them and had a time of accumulation.

What I felt as soon as I got off the plane and arrived was that the street was very comfortable. I have researched 'Things I need to know before I come to Singapore' as a task from Professor Peter. I introduced Garden City as the key point of the presentation. This is because the landscape in Singapore's city was amazing. It especially caught my eye today because the harmony between the city and nature is considered important.

Through this, I was able to get a glimpse of history. Singapore implemented a clean and green policy after independence. Thanks to this, you can easily observe large trees and beautiful plants similar to Korean bell flowers when you go outside. There were no signs of crushed cigarette butts or black gum that were common on the street. I thought it was something our country should learn.

When I visited the National Museum in Singapore, I saw a video playing there. It was about how Singaporeans thought about nature. We do a lot of environmental damage even when we eat one food through delivery. For example, coffee alone is a disposable plastic container, disposable straw. They talked about four to five types of trash, including a straw packaging vinyl, a disposable cup holder, and a disposable carrier.

However, I felt that there was a contradiction. This is the part where I talked with the professor. The environment, plants, and cleanliness are important, but recycling is not done properly at all. Even if the food remained, it was also thrown together with recyclable trash in the trash can.

I was rather shocked by this fact. The need for change was felt through the concept of 'separate collection'. It is necessary to educate citizens on environmental awareness.

I frequently went to Singshog Market, which is easily to go for a walk,

Universal Studios that I've only heard of(it was just like a dream),

swimming pools(cultural centers) operated by Singaporean countries,

Chinatown, where we can feel the natural taste and atmosphere of China that is incomparable to Korean Chinese restaurants,

twinkled shining Sultan(Little India),

Cloud Forest, where we can see the pool and scientific content in a cool room,

Botanic Garden, where we can feel the beauty of nature as it is,

One of Singapore's trademarks named a statue of Merlion, where you can feel the coolness

cruise that we can enjoy the beautiful night view and the laser show (I saw Marina Bay Sands, Clarky, Art Science Museum, Ferris wheel.),

Vivo City, where you can feel Singapore's goods and city moods,

chili crab, which is expensive, but if you come to Singapore, you must try it.

Also I visited all the beaches of Sentosa Island, where I could feel the hot sun and very soft sand all over my body.

My daily routine from June 25 to July 10 was as follows.

Every single day, I woke up early in the morning for two weeks, listened to Peter's class, and tasted local food one by one at lunch. In the afternoon class, I made a presentation and went outside to visit Singapore after class at 3:30 p.m.

It was two weeks that looked at Singapore's politics, economy, society, culture, ethnic characteristics, and history. It is no exaggeration to say that I looked around in general.

Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the person in charge, professors, teachers, and colleagues of the training program.

Thanks to this, I was able to learn hard in Singapore, which is my first overseas trip, and return home safely after living.

I will remain in my mind as a memory that I never forget!

As a nurse, my ultimate goal is to get a clinical job and work. Therefore, interest in general hospitals related to this was so great that Singapore's first general hospital was investigated.

The hospital I investigated is Singapore General Hospital.

As I said earlier, this hospital has the first and largest scale.

1785 beds, 988 staff, inpatients and elective surgery 92228.

Patient nursing, graduate education, and undergraduate medical education are provided together. In addition, if you look at the hospital's site, they are making efforts to provide better nursing services by conducting patient-centered research. They are said to be doing clinical research in conjunction with scientists.

The general hospital has a vision of future medicine. The core value was impressive. Pity, integrity, and collaboration are key values. They say: I treat everyone with kindness, respect and dignity. I adhere to the highest levels of professional and ethical behavior. I value the contribution of everyone who deals with diversity and works together with an open mind."

When I practiced at a Korean hospital, the three things mentioned above often acted as factors that were easy to overlook. Therefore, the value was more touching.

In fact, my practice paper in the third grade was a general hospital. Therefore, it was easy to compare and observe.

Besides this, "SPREE". It can be seen that safety, expertise, respect, experience, and efficiency are prioritized as quality.

There were some parts that I wanted to introduce in Korea.

The first impressive thing was the patient's 'information acquisition system for a specific medical condition'.

Although you can recognize the painful area as your location, it is difficult to know exactly whether the area you feel pain is the kidney, gallbladder, kidney, or bone. Therefore, it was confirmed that the system was equipped to make it easier for patients to recognize where they were sick and for medical staff to identify.

You can search based on the alphabet, or you can check it by clicking on a picture.

In addition, symptoms, conditions, and treatment can be easily searched through keywords.

I thought it might be a way to come out because I considered the position of the patients.

The second is the 'doctor selection system'.

No wonder each person has a different preference for a doctor. Being able to visit a doctor who wants to see a doctor will help the patient remain a pleasant memory of visiting the hospital.

In addition, you can check institutions and specialized fields related to your disease in advance before visiting the hospital in person.

From the introduction of the company to sponsorship, donation, volunteer work, practice, clinic, drug, health, and disease-specific services were all examined.

It was found that hospitals do not stay only with the disease and patients, but are active in various fields.

Through this survey process, I was able to know information that I did not know until I became a third year of nursing.

In the review, it was possible to examine a little how nursing and medical services are conducted. In a Google review, S***** said: The nurse in ward 0 was very attentive and courteous. Thank you for the wonderful service.”

"Thank you very much for all the efforts of hospitals, doctors, nurses, and all the staff," said C*** C***

I also felt that I wanted to be a nurse who received these reviews.

Lapo formation with patients acts as a very important factor when working at a hospital. In addition, this is because I think it must have a great influence on professional satisfaction.

In conclusion, this training and industrial survey led me to think that I wanted to get a job abroad.

Actually, I had a lot of fears about foreign countries. I have been abroad, but I have never visited an English-speaking country. Moreover, the fact that I had to leave my hometown and stay outside for a long time gave me a vague sense of fear.

How can I survive in a place where no one knows me in a language I don't know?

Can I be a foreign nurse who demands professional terms and actions using the language of other countries?

Besides verbal communication, am I a person who can open my heart and talk to foreigners sincerely?

However, when I visited the country in person and experienced it and researched it through the Internet, my thoughts changed by 180°.

As welfare and benefits were high, I was more interested. It seemed to be a more free atmosphere than Korea. Of course, it varies from ward to ward and I don't know the details because I haven't worked at the hospital for a long time.
